 Chef Michael's dog food???
I have 3 yorkies. 2 females, 1 male. We have been feeding them chef michaels (beef), for a few years. My male is having what appears to be seizures, unable to stand and falling over. These episodes are preceded by diarrhea then vomiting. Vet initially said liver shunt, then changed to irritable bowel, then back to liver shunt based on lab tests. They gave us some meds for the vomiting. over the past few months he has had 1 more episode. He seems healthy and alert, except during these episodes. We have since switched foods to canin liver. i now am thinking it is the chef michael that caused the episodes or irritable bowel (even with the lab tests). The research on chef michaels dog food is not good, in fact it is ranked very poor. I would love feedback concerning this dog food and other possible problems. I may be in the "wishful thinking mode" hoping it is not a liver shunt. He is 4 yrs old and the episodes didn't start till he was 3. |
