I can't help out at all - we have some similar and they are kind of cheap. Best steps we ever had, hubby constructed for Jack out of cardboard boxes. They were "disassembled" when we moved, so we ended up with the other ones and honestly, Jack and Izzy would rather jump than use them. I'll be following to see if any one else has any suggestions.
