At this age would say a little run in a garden is enough exercise too much would cause them to use far too much energy, walks are for much older puppies. Another thing is when he is quiet in the pen praise and reward this will help him learn quick. Only other advice would be it takes time Molly took a week to settle in fully and be happy in her own company, good luck |

You can take aGatorade bottle...one of the regular sized, for one person, not that 1/2 gallon jug size....it is a heavier plastic than say a plastic coke bottle, and the mouth is wider.....put several handfuls of puppy kibble in the bottle, and put it in with the baby....he will knock it around and the kibble will start to fall out a couple of pieces at a time, from inside the bottle....this keeps my litters occupied for a very long time!!! Even the grown adults love this game, but you have to watch them continously so they dont chew the plastic....the little puppies have tiny teeth that can not chew the heavy dity plastic of the Gatorade bottle!
I have 3 ex-pens I connect and put out on my patio in the back yard, where NO other dogs have been, and after the babies have at least 2 vaccinations in them, I will put them out in the sunshine and fresh air for just a little while....they have a blast, exploring the new area....that is ALL the outdoor exposure mine are allowed.....
