What is your worst food disaster?
While I'm glad to say I haven't had that many disasters, I do remember as a child, thinking boiling water would take too long to boil eggs so I though I would nuke them.
Anyway just now I realized when I made sake (salmon) poke too salty, to add more tomato. BAD idea. The tomato leaked out water and made the poke look not only yucky but taste bland as well.
Last week I wanted to make my signature pickles. The market I went to didn't have Persian cukes, so I bought what they had. End result is NOT the same sadly. I thought I could fix it by adding more vinegar to the jar, um NO! Hmmmm.
