When Tibbe's tummy acts up and he's gassy, has loud bowel sounds and jumps from gas pain, he also can belch and then licks and swallows, as if he's just regurgitated a bit of stomach contents into his trachea or something. Occasionally he will spit up a small amount of the yellowish bile foam and always refuses food during this time. The vet has me give him 1/2 an infant dose of Mylicon drops and 1/4 tablet of Pepcid 20 mg. once or twice in a 24 hour period. If he does belch like that, later he might seem to be starting to reverse sneeze a time or two. The vet said that could be from his tracheal irritation from the bile he's belched up and that the Pepcid will help. And it does seem to do just that. Even on his Hill's I/D GI, he has an episode like this every 12 days or so and is lethargic during this time. His last labworks were normal but it's time for a comprehensive exam with labs so I think I'm getting a BAT just to see if anything is going on. I can't get him off Hill's I/D GI because of this - too scared he'll just get all gassy and belch, RS, lie about not feeling well but he's not normal this way. I sure hope he's not dealing with something serious.
Sure hope you can find out what is going on with Roxie and get her feeling better. Keep us updated on what the vet says.
