This morning has been a bit better....my vet called early this morning. Late yesterday after they had closed, I remembered that I did not get his paw print or a clipping of hair. I called Little Friends who do the cremation...and they told me he was on the pick up list for yesterday and the driver already had him, but that they don't do paw prints. Just another reason to cry. I guess it is silly, but I like to have them. Early this morning my vet called and said that Little Friends had called them...the person who answered did not know that the driver had not picked Sunny D up and they called my vet this morning to let them know I had called. SO...my vet got Sunny's pawprint for me. It is in a little heart shaped clay piece which is what I do with all of my angels. I also have his hair clippings. Gives me a bit of comfort. Silly I know. I am just a bit sentimental about things.
Got home today and look at what I received from a couple of friends....just had to share. I have never seen anything like it..just so precious. A little doggy angel floral arrangement: Attachment 382160 |
What a beautiful flower arrangement from some special friends. I love the idea of keeping pawprints and little mementos. I have Buster's baby canine teeth that he retained and the hair from his first cut. I am so glad that you were able to get Sunny D's pawprint. The imprint on the clay is a little reminder of the imprints they leave on our hearts. Hugs to you Linda and the rest of the YHR fur family.
