No, the stool sample was for other worms, there are worms that live in the intestinal tract. He would have to do a blood test for heart worms. Some types of heartworm medication like Heartgard Plus also protect against hookworms and roundworms, which can also infect humans, so that's why I use Heartgard Plus.
