I say either which I know isn't very helpful...decide what you think will be best for Henri...make a list of the pros and cons. Two years ago I had to move for a job and I couldn't find housing that allowed pets. My mom kept Lola who was my yorkie during the week and then I would pick her up on the weekends. It did work - for a year and a half. Lola was excited to see me every friday but she was also excited to see my mom every Sunday. The best part was that my mom was retired so Lola was never home alone.
