I personally think either cotton or flannel are best. I think the fleece is too heavy for easy washing. We have a member who makes them because some people want them, but the majority we sell are flannel or cotton. They wash and dry in the washer and dryer easily and don't throw the washer off balance. The stuffing is very light.
