Thank you for posting this article; it really explains the previous study that said that we should avoid any foods with garlic. This article says that while the garlic did affect red blood cells, the amount of garlic in the food would be comparable to 30% garlic. Can you imagine how much garlic that is? Thirty percent is one heck of a lot of garlic, and there are probably lots of spices and herbs that at 30% might toxic. I’ve read that the amount of garlic used in foods is very safe, and there are some who believe garlic is very beneficial. There was a dog that ate a whole bottle of garlic powder and died, so garlic had to be put on the toxic list, but the amount consumed is really an important fact in considering toxicity.
