Raw Feeding: Some Simple Facts and Advice For You & Your Dog
I'm not sure why he said that. I was a little worried cause he only gained 4 oz in the 3 weeks between his visits and commented that I was hoping he'd make it to 5 lbs. My vet just said he would probably be tiny. So maybe he based it on his weight gain? As far as being a light eater I'm not sure. This is my first small dog ever. He eats a little less than 1/2 a cup a day I would guess. I do offer him food several times throughout the day but he usually only easts once in the morning and once in the afternoon. HOWEVER, he is ALWAYS looking for something. He is a garbage disposal and eats anything he can find. I am constantly having to dig stuff out his mouth. Not inside so much (I try to keep my floors very clean) but outside is a nightmare. I also got a harness for him and that has helped some cause it is easier to get him away from stuff. Point is you'd swear he was starved! And I guess I should stress that he is NOT housebroken (the puddle I just cleaned confirmed this) he has to be taken outside immediately upon leaving the kennel. But I really don't have to worry about accidents when he is confined. I do not let him roam the house freely (I watch him like a hawk) because he is sneaky. Ok so he's downright awful lol... Grabbing whatever he can't have and hauling off where I can't reach him! I told someone if he wasn't so darn cute id throw him out. J/k of course but he drives me batty most days! So I am very diligent about preventing accidents in the house but not always successfully.
