I have a regular pin brush that I picked up from one of the box pet stores and the Madan just seems to glide through her fur. The other one seems to pull her hair more. The Madan also was able to get a couple of small mats out of her fur without "ripping them out" like the other pin brush.
Those are just a couple of the things I noted.
