Sad Neuter

I see your reluctance to neuter your small none month old baby. He is small.
I refer you to the Whole Dog Journal, feb. 2013 that I mentioned here earlier, and it lays out clearly the pros and cons of the spay and neuter controversy.
Although I do not wish to opine on this subject as I am not an expert in this matter, I would think you may find the article very helpful. The main thrust seems to be that the hormones in girl and boy dogs are also essential for building bones etc in the pups and that growth and body development can be compromised by early spay/ neuter. The author suggests that these procedure should not be carried out until after the growth of the dog is complete, around one to two years for a male and after two heats for a female. This idea is not universally accepted in the doggy world , due to fear of population growth and some diseases that appear in non-fixed dogs,
FYI, my adopted male was only neutered at well over a year, but he seems to be a well behaved since with no marking! It seems that if you re abide by the separation rules and the dogs are separated from females in heat, it can work.
Good luck, it is a hard decision to make.
