I don't feel it's really ever safe for them to do a lot of jumping. I think after awhile it just might take it's toll on their little joints.

This may be more so for the tinier Yorkie's then the larger ones??

I have heard that it isn't safe for them to jump more then their body length, not sure if this is true or not??

I guess I just try to play it safe and limit as much jumping from my fur kids as possible.

Ransom, our smaller one is not ever allowed to jump off the couch, etc.
Schatie I don't worry about as much with this as she is taller than the couch is high so it's more like a "step down with a bounce" than anything.
