You really shouldn't judge other people's choices of when they decide to get a puppy and whether or not their breeder was of good quality or not especially since you don't even know me, Mia, or her breeders. I think a lot of us here got a puppy at 8 weeks. I have yet to have any issues with her (minus the one flea who hitched a ride on vday) and she is now 16 weeks and just finished her last round of shots. She has bonded with every single person she's met so far and I've been training her very well. She has puppy play dates with other dogs and puppies on a regular basis. I am a behavioral therapist for kids with autism and have been using my knowledge from my job experience with training her (so much of it is the same). Luckily she is much easier than my kids at work! And much nicer. |
I don't get into the 12 week debate issue but often find it an interesting read. I just have to comment that I was a bit stunned at your last remark. If I were a parent of one of your children you work with, you would be reported for that remark "and much nicer". I personally found it more judgemental than anything anyone has said on this thread and honestly quite offensive.
