Sam's vet visit was this afternoon. He got the last of his vacs except for Rabies, and a pill for the tapeworm. Now he's conked out in his bed and I think he's feeling pretty puny. Poor baby got poked, prodded, and pulled every which way from Sunday.

He's a "monstrous" 2.8 lbs, according to the tech who weighed him.

The excessive tearing isn't an infection, but his hair is irritating his eyes.

He has a tiny bit of wax in his ears, but thankfully no mites. Yay! Vet said to clean with witch hazel on a cotton ball, and they will check them again in two weeks.


On the bad side, he hasn't eaten since this morning. He drank a little water when we got home, but I can't get anything down him. He even turned down Greek yogurt, which is a total first.

I have a feeling it's going to be a very long night. I'm going to move his ex-pen next to the couch so that I can stay close to him and keep an eye on him. Any suggestion to get something in him? He's already feeling bad; I don't want to stress him by trying to force feed.
