used to pick up her toys and put them in her toy box when I told her to, at clean up time.
Then somewhere along the way she figured out, that after each time we picked up the toys, the big, bad, hoover came out to eat the stuff on the floor and there was no way she was going to risk that thing coming out early and eating her! So now when I tell her to pick up toys, she grabs her favorite toy (a cheap $2 squeaky fish from Meijer) and jumps on the couch & won't come down.
She'll stay there until I'm done picking up stuff off the floor & while I vacuum. Then, when I'm all done, & I've wrapped up the cord & start wheeling the vacuum down the hallway to the closet where I store it...she jumps off the couch & barks at it as it rolls back to storage. Strange dog
