I tried the DIY laundry soap & it just didn't work well for me. It didn't clean well & whites/lights started to look dingy. I thought having well water might be to blame (even though I have a water softener system). The stuff I made was using fels-naptha, borax & washing soda. Are you using the same ingredients or something different?
Right now, I'm back to using Persil.
