Hello Kelly-rn and welcome! No, its not just your girl - my Jack will do this too - he takes a piece of kibble from the bowl and goes in the opposite direction a few feet, and then eats, comes back to his bowl and its a repeat. Neither Jack nor Izzy will eat their food unless either my hubby or I are in the room with them though.
Our Sheltie used to do that too - he would take his kibble from his bowl in the kitchen and take it to the dining room to eat.
