Well, we have Buck (see my avatar) and he does fine with the Yorkies. He was grown when we got him. I found him after he had been hit by a car. He wasn't 100% for quite some time and by then they all had time to get used to each other. It helps that he is very easy-going and laid back, too.

I love big dogs, but don't think I would ever have gotten one except for luck. I would worry so much about a large breed puppy not realizing its size, going through a dominance phase and all the things pups do while having Yorkies in the house.

It really depends on the dog and the owner. My son has a Pitt and 2 Chihuahua/Dachshund mixes and they get along fine. In his case, they are all girls and are all spayed. It probably helps not to have raging hormones thrown into the mix.

That's about the limit of my experience. Good luck in making a decision and factoring in all the variables.
