How many times have I heard the same phrase from my mother and grandmother!! And my first spur of the moment reaction was to give him the same speech YOU had conjured up..... But, with THAT in mind, I (Judy-No-Nose!) would go with THIS plan above. Loyality often comes with a price that is hard to pay, and while YOU did the right thing, he certainly did not....and it may actually work out best in YOUR favor.....contact those other opportunities you had and mention the loyality factor to them....God dont like ugly, and you will come out ahead in this game.
