About the puppy sleeping habits, it's been so long since I've had a puppy, I can't recall but as I remember they do sleep a great deal, wake, pee/poop, eat, play, pee/poop, sleep, pee/poop, etc. I think I remember my young ones being away about an hour at a time - something like that.
