as a breeder I can tell you that even the infamous AKC papers mean nothing unless you want to show.. other than that I know a LOT of puppy mills producing AKC puppies, the secret is the BREEDER, get to know a breeder, visit the home, ask LOTS of questions, ask to see the puppies play, eat,ask to meet the puppies parents, ask to see the pedigree., in my humble opinion those are MORE important than registration papers, those at the end only prove ownership..
