Hello my YT family!!! First off let me start this by telling you all that I love you all and miss you so very much and am looking forward to when I will be able to get back on more.
Now for the important stuff right

? As Jacqui posted Sam had to go see the Surgeon on Wednesday and she said and I quote "That she is AMAZED at how well he is doing." She said he looks great and to keep doing whatever we are doing!! PRAYING!!
Thank God the swelling is just that. No fluid leak and the graft that was stitched into the lining of his brain is holding and not leaking and his body did NOT reject the graft!!!! Okay now I'm crying all over again just typing it! She said the incision site looks really good all the stitches have dissolved and that we've been doing a great job keeping it clean and infection free!
She was also amazed to hear that Samuel has been refusing all pain meds since shortly after leaving the hospital. Again I quote her "The surgery he just had would still have grown men on their knee's wanting pain medication"........ He's such a trooper and I am soooooo BLESSED to have this AWESOME gift from GOD as my son!
In 8 weeks, shortly before Samuel's 3rd birthday they will need to sedate him again and repeat the MRI to check the spinal cord fluid that had built up in his spine to make sure it is flowing. She said she expects to see some change but it could take several months, but there should be some change. If we dont see a change, then Sam will need another surgery to place a shunt in to help drain the fluid. So I humbly ask that you all stand in agreement with me and continue to pray with my family that we WILL see a change. This little boy has fought so hard with the help of GOD and I just don't want him to go through another surgery!!
She also talked about him possibly needing some physical therapy to help with turning his neck. He will resume working with his OT and ST as well to work on our feeding. She said keep doing what we are doing and not try to force him to eat, because towards the end he had so much gaging and vomiting when trying to eat, he likely has an aversion and is scared and that it will take time. The insomnia, she wants his pediatrician to put him on something to help him sleep, so I will be calling her to set up that appt. I hope I didnt forget anything.
He and Kalisi are back together again lol. We had been keeping her separated from Samuel for obvious reasons lol and I honestly can't tell you which of them had been taking it the hardest.

I'm sorry I am just now updating, I meant to do it when we got back from the doctors, but got sidetracked and then Samuel got tangled in my feet and accidently tripped me and yep..... I went down hard.... Soooooo many tears and pain pills later I am just now posting.
