Max doesn't play with toys and Teeka plays but doesn't destroy! She has her favorites but really does not tear them apart. I had a couple of "foster" yorkies and one of them dissected
one of her stuffed toys, so she was limited to a certain toy that only bounced and squeaked! I guess it depends on the dog!
