I have used physical therapists in the past, but never for a fractured leg. The ones I have had did very well after the leg was repaired. The one I mentioned is fine now!

That is awful that she suggested amputation as a first choice rather than a proper repair of the fracture! There are many people who opt for that, but if you can afford to repair it, that is the best option. The main issue with amputation is that IF a pup has a catastrophic injury to another leg later in life, then what?? She is lucky you are getting her the best in care.
