Having never experienced it myself I think you are so right about the cycle! They beat (literally and figuratively) women down so much they lose all self worth. It doesn't matter what she looks like, how much money she has, he's obviously made her feel like she isn't worth being with someone better. I agree she could have been such an advocate speaking out against domestic violence
