I just watched the DVD that accompanied the machine and all I can say is, "Wow! Sewing has come a long way!" I have not sewn since I was in 7th or 8th grade. I thought we had my mom's old Singer (probably 40 years old by now) but could not find it, so I went out to our local craft store and bought one. I had spoken with my mother-in-law earlier in the day to make sure if I had any questions if she would be willing to help (my MIL sews up a storm and I want to utilize this resource and wealth of knowledge before it is no longer available to me). Sadly, my mom passed away, well, it will be 7 years ago on Tuesday. So, I don't have her to ask these things anymore.

But I am really excited and nervous! It has been a while, but I think I am up for the challenge. Funny thing, I think my DH is more excited about the new sewing machine than I am, if that's possible. He was checking it out and oohhing and aahhing over it while I was watching the video - too funny! He's already making a list of things he can "repair."

Off to go play with my sewing machine. I'm sure I will be asking lots of questions.

Congrats, I am so jealous... Can't wait to see the end results!
