Does this make sense or is my yorkie overweight. She is only 4.5inches at the shoulder. So she is not tall. Should I keep her on a strict diet? Because the girl can eat. I feed her half cups twice daily of pedigree puppy chow. When should she typically stop growing? Is this normal? Does anyone think she will lose the puppy weight as she matures? Please give me any helpful and respectful advice. I have done alot research but am still new to this breed. Thanks alot....

You know what I would do??? Get her off that Puppy Chow and onto a good quality premium food. If you feed her a better food, she will probably eat less, get better nutrition and her weight will probably begin to stabilize somewhat. She also might just grow to be more than the anticipated 5-6 pounds, who knows BUT, I would still start changing that food. A couple of good ones are:
Natural Balance - what I use
Solid Gold
Canidae
Innova EVO
There are probably a few more good ones, but any of those 4 will be good!

Good Luck
