My two Yorkies have full roam all the time, but they
choose to sleep (or bark when kitties move around...
) all night with us in our bed. Mine are only on a lead when I am on the other end of it. If I had to confine them, it would be in a large, spacious crate or expen, etc. in the room with us, but that is not necessary in our case.
