Just read this thread and am so impressed by you and your love and dedication to get your little baby taken good care of and have the needed surgery. He is one blessed little dog! The help of all of the members here was tremendous, too. It sure is nice to touch base with and hear from others who have walked the path before and know what to do, what to expect and share some insights and prayer and give hope. Hope and empathy from others are huge factors when dealing with any bad illness or injury and I think this thread goes a long way toward showing how it can keep us going. It's been a learning experience for many of us who have read this. I always wondered what the did and why a low protein diet was necessary. Also learned about easier-digested proteins in some foods. I'm still not sure about why the low protein helps but aim to keep reading and learning on YT. Buddy just looks so good in his later photos - looks vital and healthy. I hope and pray that he goes on to have a rich and full long, long life. I hope you stay on YT and keep telling us all about cute little Buddy.
