I give mine cooked and sometimes raw soup bones, (no raw for dogs with any tummy/liver issues). Cooked bones are hard and they can break a tooth on them, but I figure that's better than abdominal surgery if the need arises. |
That's a very good idea. I have made a chew toy with marrow bones for all my puppies. I boil the bones & remove all the meat & marrow. Then scrub the bones so they are well washed & left to dry. Then I string two small ones together and this becomes a lovely chew toy for them that they can pull around with them Ave x
