I have an Amex prepaid card for my son. It is tied to my checking account so that I can transfer funds to the card. However, Amex has a good, solid theft/unauthorized charge program. This is the card I have linked to the iTunes account on his iPhone. Also, there are NO FEES at all to set the card up, transfer funds, etc. Plus, you can order the card & do everything online. I definitely recommend the Amex prepaid. I also have one for myself. But I rarely use it.
