It was a very busy day and I will post more later...but a short version of today's events:

Sunny D was seen by the surgeon and she felt the front part of his tongue needed to be removed today, so that was done and he seems to be a bit more comfortable now. He is going to have to learn to drink water now. Hopefully he will adapt quickly...he is trying and comes up wet but I don't think he can quite figure it out yet.

The internal med vet came over to surgery to speak with me about Teddy. He felt that the bladder stones needed to be out today. He explained all of the risks..and the fact that IF he has pancreatitis, it could flare because of surgery. Well, in the middle of surgery they called me to tell me that Teddy had a liver shunt!!!! I am still shocked. My pups are seen at minimum yearly and often more. He has never had any liver values that were off and never had any symptoms. I have heard of this happening before and never believed it...I am now a believer. Anyway...they asked if I wanted to proceed with the repair and of course I did. Last update about an hour and a half ago was great. Waiting to hear from them again .. they usually call between 6 - 7PM

Please keep my Teddy Bear in your prayers. I am so worried about him. He was so sad today when I visited him before surgery. He had lots of kisses for me and cried when I left...made me so sad.
