Our vets dont do pre-op blood work either,they do make you awnser a bunch of questions about the dogs general health and the dog is weighed and has its temp taken,but that´s it.
Also,as a rule,dogs arent even put under general anesthetic to be spayed/neutered here.They are given a sedative and then local anesthetic to the area.So right after they´re done,they go home.
When I had my previous male fixed,he was in and out in about an hour and he was given a shot for pain before the sedative wore off.After that,he didnt need anything else. |
