Shelby really only goes into herding mode when they are outside in the back yard and get to playing chase really hard. I can tell when it's starting to get heated so I'll nip it (or him) in the bud...they just play chase (Mandie will lunge at him or run to him and nip his chin and then take off really fast lol). After hard running, Shelby's circles will start getting smaller. She has a lot of stuff she can run under and behind, though, to keep her safe. (including between my legs while I'm standing in the middle of it).

They really play great together and the herding issue is miniscule compared to total play time
