Hello! I am new here! I just became the proud owner of a 10 week old male Yorkie named Baxter. I am learning my way around here. I will try and figure out how to post pictures next. As I do have questions about my Yorkie appearance. I got Baxter from a home breeder! Not a puppy mill at all. The mother was there and saw her in person. I did see pictures of the dad. The whole litter was your normal, typical looking Yorkie. They all had soft curly, longer fur. Baxter has shorter hair, still soft, but has some more courser hairs that stick out. The puppies were hand raised in the home. I really loved the "look" of all the other puppies, but fell in love immediately with Baxter. Is this normal to have a shorter haired one in the whole litter? I've read that sometimes it takes longer for the coats to grow out on some. It doesn't really matter to me at this point, because he is simply adorable and I have already formed a deep attachment to this little guy. But I do have to admit that I was a little disappointed that the one that took to me & that I took to him, did not have the appearance I had always hoped for. I am not ever going to breed him, so that's not an issue for me at all. Just curious as to why he looked different. There was another little male that looked alot like him too. The girls were very good looking puppies. Just curious. I will try and figure out how to post pictures so people can see him & tell me what they think.
