My mom's name was Louise. Her name popped into my head when I saw Louise at the shelter. The adoption was finalized on my Mom's birthday. I feel that Louise is a gift to me, and I will treat her as such.
She is always so happy to see me, whether she just woke up from a short nap or I just came home from work. To her, everything concerning me is a wonderful and happy time, worthy of celebration and kisses. When I look into her eyes, there is something there that is more than dog. Something wise, understanding and loving. She is an answer to prayer, a piece of me that I did not know was missing. |
