I have a 13 week old and I leave him in an X-pen with a potty pad, water, food, bedding and toys. My parents are retired and come and spend the day with him, but Cooper is alone for about four hours in the morning because I leave for work at 6:00 am. I was worried that once he was used to using the potty pads he wouldn't want to go outside, but the breeder assured me that it would just take a bit of time and as long as I used the same potty command, he would learn to go outside.
Please don't let the fact that you and your husband both work deter you from the love and joy that comes from being parents to a Yorkie. They truly are the sweetest in the world, and I cannot imagine what my life would be like without Cooper in it.
