Our vet told us that anyone coming to the house should never reach for our dogs. We can train them to not jump but we haven't had a lot of success with getting them to not bark (we can get them to quiet down after the person/people are inside. When people are inside and settles, then we tell them they can put their hand down at their side so the pups can sniff. We have never had a dog that bit anyone. I know it takes a lot of work but I believe Yorkies can be taught to be civilized in anyone's company. LOL Might give this a try but others may have even better advice. Good luck.
