The vet tested the stuff that came out of Dexters ear on the first infection, although to me it looked awful, she said it was a mild infection, and there was no yeast. I asked her about food allergies and she said there was no yeast, so it's not food related.

This is why I'm stumped. I'll have to go to the groomers and ask what they do for ear hair and tell them to do the opposite for next time. They have been groomed 4x a year if not more for over 6 years by different groomers unless they all plucked and this one does not, or the opposite, I can't imagine its product like I said because it's weeks after grooming the infection comes.
