I never thought Max would make it to 5 years old.
But he did thanks to all the YT Members who helped us along the way!
Today is Max's 5th Birthday!
Our YT Story (I mean book):
I joined YT on 04-24-2008 soon after we brought him home.
Max is a Morkie. He was a "back yard" breeder designer dog. A so called group of caring families in the DC area that breed dogs for the joy of making others happy (and their wallets full).
Very soon after we brought him home many signs began to appear that these people did not care about their customers or dogs. I did not know. Thanks to YT I know now (hopefully) what a "good" breeder is. Max had ring worm, a bacterial and yeast ear infection and a mange type infection on his body. He looked good at the breeders to a novice dog buyer like us. Soon our entire family had ring worm. My daughter Katie and I got the worst of it. It covered our bodies in ring worm spots. Even Max's vet caught it from him. It took a year to rid Max and us of the ring worm.
The breeder said at 4 months old she would refund our money and take him back. We decided to take the journey with Max where ever it would lead. The breeder would have killed him for sure. He was worth nothing to her sick and he would infect her kennel. We were smarter than that to send him back to her.
He developed the beginnings of LP before he was a year old. I did not even know what that was before YT. He has always has food issues.
I can not imagine how I would have gotten though the last 5 years without my YT family.

They have always been here for us. Even through the wee hours of the morning when Mickey (our Yorkie from Breny) swallowed a 6 inch Bully Stick! I was hysterical. He was at the Emergency Vet going through endoscopic surgery that could have had a devastating outcome. THANK YOU to all those who were up 1 am-6am!!!!!
That's our story in a nut shell! LOL
Happy Birthday to my Max! I love you buddy!
