I tried a Senior diet when Peek turned 10 or 12 (CRS). He steadily went downhill so I switched back to a regular maintenance diet. Since then I've read that Senior diets are bunk, forget where I saw that but I do believe it, especially for small, very active breeds. Also read that there's no proof that reduced amounts of protein and other stuff found in a Senior diet will do anything to protect the kidneys. |
