There are pet friendly house alarms. They are set not to trigger based on the mass/weight of the pet. Anyone with animals should get that kind, as my alarm companies & even local police authorities will bill you for a false call. A friend is a local cop and he said in our town about 98% of all alarms calls are false triggers...and they bill the homeowner for it!
