I haven't had experience with liver shunt but I know that there are varying levels of severity. Some shunts are more complicated than others. I am sure the specialist that you are going to see will give you some good advise. There are several tests they can do to determine how severe you little guy's case is. If there is anything they can to to improve you guy's quality of life I would certainly encourage you to do it.
