I found this patern easier because itīs made with things I have around the house.You will need one of those impermeable matress protector sheets (one made for a single bed will make 4 to 5 good sized pads) for the bottom of the pad,some towels (for the middle) and some pretty cotton fabric fot the top layer.
Basiclly you sew the 3 layers together and thatīs that Make sure the bottom layer (the matress protector) has the plastic part facing down (the floor) and the fuzzy part facing inwards,because the extra material on the inside will make the whole pad that much more absorbant

I was thinking about making my own as well. It just seemed that they wouldn't be too difficult and I was going to use waterproof mattress pads as well. Thanks so much for your post, I think it will help a lot of us here that want to switch to washable pads. Thanks again!!
