Having gone through dental surgery for 2 of my cats I'm worried that I will have to go through it again with my pup! Any suggestions on getting him used to teeth brushing?

I bought this on the weekend: Arm & Hammer® Clinical Pet Care Maximum Strength Gum Care Toothpaste & Brush Set for Dogs - Dog - Sale - PetSmart

And he is so terrified of the tooth brush I don't know what to do! Should I go for an oral gel instead?
