Look for soft toys with no stuffing. I came home once to fiberfill all over as one of his toys opened up, thank goodness he had not choked on it. Chewie will be fine and will probably sleep and be ready for a walk or play time when you get home.
I have thought of setting up a camera just to see what Buster does when he is home alone.
