He is very young and small dogs should stay with there moms until 12 weeks but sense he is with you so young you have to be very very careful about making sure he eats every couple of hours and you need to make sure you have nutrical and know about hypoglycemia also make sure you are leaving him food out all the time. You don't want him around other dogs and areas others dogs visit until he has all of his shots. Having a puppy is like having a baby and you can't really expect to get much sleep. I would make sure that his crate is in the bedroom where he can see you not locked away where he is alone and scared remember he is used to being with his mom and siblings not alone. I would not wait until he stops crying to take him potty because his bladder is so very small at this point and I have heard many times they are unable to hold it really well until at least 12 weeks.
