Yes, the cost of living in Toronto is quite high in general. Although, on the other hand and looking at it from another perspective (with regard to medical things)... later this month I'm booked for MY annual physical which will likely entail a series of routine tests (comprehensive bloodwork, mammogram, bone density scan, pap smear, and a multitude of other things - all pretty much 'unnecessary' and generally preventative measures)... and it will all be completely free. As will any other time I decide to step foot in my doctor's or specialist's office.

I suppose whatever side of the border you live on, there are always going to be a variety of drawbacks/benefits.

That being said, spending nearly $1400 for Bella's dental still bites!
